I have a real passion for volunteering. For over 15 years I have been raising awareness of the power of culture to reach, engage and develop local people to mutual benefit, campaigning for the recognition and good management of volunteers across the sector. During that time, I have advised a wide range of organisations on how to set up, finance, manage and evaluate volunteer programmes. My clients include: the London Museum Hub, the National Trust and Imperial War Museum North.

The Guardian wrote about a social inclusion volunteering project I developed at Imperial War Museum North in Manchester – the first of its kind and still hailed by the DCMS as an exemplar project. I also wrote about it here.
